Scale
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
  • Marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl or stand mixer, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit until foamy.
  2. Add salt, oil, and 2 cups of flour; mix well. Gradually incorporate remaining flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth, then place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for one hour.

  5. Arrange on a greased baking sheet and let rise again for 45 minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 425°F during the last 10 minutes of rising.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt and parmesan cheese before serving with marinara sauce.
