  • 2 Granny Smith apples (cubed)
  • 1 cup water plus 1 tablespoon (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
  • 2 cups pretzels
  • 25 caramel squares

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine water and lemon juice. Chop apples into cubes and soak them in the mixture to prevent browning.
  3. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  4. Spread melted chocolate on the baking sheet and top with pretzels, pressing them slightly into the chocolate.
  5. Drain and pat dry apple cubes before placing them on paper towels.
  6. Melt caramels with 1 teaspoon of water in the microwave until smooth.
  7. Drizzle caramel over the pretzels, then layer on the apple cubes.
