  • 1 lb. ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook chopped turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add ground beef and brown it while breaking it apart.
  3. Drain excess grease if necessary; then return turkey bacon to the skillet.
  4. Add beef broth and spices (salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne if using). Stir well.
  5. Simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes until thickened to your liking.
  6. Stir in butter until melted and serve hot.
