  • 1 cup water
  • 4 chai tea bags
  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 46 squares dark chocolate, chopped
  • 12 tbsp chai syrup
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a simmer. Add the chai tea bags and steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and stir in cane sugar until dissolved. Add vanilla extract.
  3. Pour in almond milk, then add dark chocolate, chai syrup, and cacao powder.
  4. Whisk on low heat until combined and warm (do not boil).
  5. Stir in ground cinnamon and sea salt.
  6. Serve in mugs topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chai spice.
