  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup snap peas or snow peas
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional)

Instructions

  1. Marinate sliced chicken in soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and toss with sesame oil.
  3. Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, and broth in a bowl; set aside.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat; cook marinated chicken until browned and cooked through.
  5. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant, then add bell peppers, carrots, and snap peas; stir-fry until crisp-tender.
  6. Return chicken to the pan and add the prepared sauce; simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  7. Toss in cooked noodles and green onions; mix well before serving.
