Ingredients

  • Cheese tortellini
  • Chicken breast
  • Fresh broccoli
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic cloves
  • Butter
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Cook cheese tortellini according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Steam fresh broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender; plunge into ice water to stop cooking.
  3. Season chicken breast cubes with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, sauté for 1 minute, then slowly pour in heavy cream while whisking.
  5. Remove from heat and gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth; adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Return chicken to skillet along with cooked tortellini and steamed broccoli; toss to coat well with sauce.
