  • 1 medium sweet onion (coarsely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Cut zucchini into 2-inch long pieces, then wedge each piece into six.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the zucchini and onion; sauté for about 2 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Stir in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until desired tenderness is reached.
  5. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds before serving.
